Quick answer
- Writes: erotic romance across several registers: taboo romance in the Priest collection, political romance in New Camelot, a dark enemies-to-lovers trilogy in Lyonesse, high-spice historicals, and romcoms co-written with Julie Murphy.
- Where to read: Amazon ebooks, many of them listed on her own site as Kindle Unlimited exclusives, paperbacks through bookshops, audiobooks on Audible, and one audio drama inside the Dipsea app.
- Free: her site keeps a Free Books page and a Free Bonus Content page. Everything else is paid or inside a subscription.
- Content notes: she publishes them per series on a page of her own, which is rarer in this genre than it should be.
- Subscription of her own: none found. No Patreon, Ream or Substack for her fiction appears on her pages.
What Sierra Simone writes
The labels below are hers, taken from her series pages and her reading order. The Priest collection is billed as taboo erotic romance about faith, duty, sex and love. New Camelot is a political romance series. Lyonesse is a dark romance trilogy built on enemies to lovers. Markham Hall and London Lovers are high-spice historicals. Alongside those she writes contemporary romance with Laurelin Paige and romcoms with Julie Murphy, including a university-set series and a Christmas one.
The content notes page on her site is worth knowing about before you buy anything. It is her own per-series list of what is in the books, which is the kind of thing our content warnings entry explains and most authors in this category do not publish.
The books, with the pages that date them
Six titles are confirmed here from a store or platform page each. Priest, the first of the Priest collection, is dated 29 June 2015 on Amazon. American Queen, which opens New Camelot, is dated 24 October 2016. Salt in the Wound, from Lyonesse, is dated 9 August 2023 and carries No Bird Press as its publisher on Amazon.
Two university and graduate-setting titles with adult characters are on the list as well. Fundamentals of Being a Good Girl, written with Julie Murphy, opens the Academic Affairs series and puts a lecturer and a professor together at a university; Apple dates its edition 13 January 2026. Misadventures with a Professor (Waterhouse Press, 6 November 2018) pairs a professor with a heroine about to start a master's programme.
Not every title she has published is listed on this page. Where a blurb states no age for a character, we treat that as unverified rather than fine, and the book stays off. That is a rule about what we can check, not a judgement about the book.
Kindle Unlimited, and what that means for the price
Her site has a page of its own for Kindle Unlimited, which says the ebooks listed there are exclusive to Amazon's programme. That is the single most useful fact about her catalogue if you are deciding what to pay: the subscription covers a large part of it, and buying the same books one by one does not get you anything extra. Our page on what Kindle+ costs covers the subscription price and how borrowing works.
One caveat on that. We read the "Read for Free" labels on Amazon product pages with a Netherlands delivery location, and store availability varies by country, so check the badge on your own store before assuming a title is included.
Audio: Audible editions and one Dipsea drama
Audiobooks are sold through Audible, which her Priest page links directly. Separately, she is credited on Dipsea's own page as the writer of Through the Smoke, an audio drama whose first chapter, First Sparks, runs 27 minutes and is tagged Extra Spicy, Dark Romance, Slow Burn and Full Cast. That makes her one of the named writers behind an app catalogue rather than a book, which is unusual enough to be worth saying plainly. If that is the format you want, our guide to erotic audio stories covers how the apps differ.
We read only the Dipsea page that credits her. We did not read Dipsea's terms or pricing for this page; the Dipsea pricing page has those.
What her own pages claim
Her site title describes her as a USA Today bestselling romance author
and her Amazon bio says USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling
. Those are her own words, quoted here with the pages they appear on, because no list of this kind is available for us to check independently.
What is not confirmed
No start year is stated anywhere we read, so none is published here: Priest is simply the earliest title on this list. No subscription platform of her own was found. The Apple Books author page exists but the English-title entries we opened were translations, so it is not linked. Nothing on this page comes from her About page's personal lines, which we left where they were.
The rest of the writers we cover are on the authors hub.
FAQ
Are Sierra Simone's books on Kindle Unlimited?
Many are. Her site has a Kindle Unlimited page that says the titles listed there are exclusive to Amazon's programme, and the Amazon pages for Priest, American Queen and Salt in the Wound showed "Read for Free" when we checked. Availability varies by country.
Where should I start?
Her own reading order is the answer, and it is on her site. The two obvious entry points are Priest (2015), which opens the collection she is best known for, and American Queen (2016), which opens New Camelot.
Does she write for Dipsea?
Yes. Dipsea's own page for Through the Smoke credits her as its writer. The first chapter runs 27 minutes and is tagged as a full-cast dark romance.
Does she publish content warnings?
Yes, on a content notes page on her own site, organised by series. It is the place to look before buying, rather than the store blurb.
Does she have a Patreon or a Substack?
None was found for her fiction. The newsletter sign-up in her site footer is the direct channel she does publish, and it covers new releases and sales.
Who does she co-write with?
Laurelin Paige on contemporary romance, and Julie Murphy on the Academic Affairs university series and a Christmas romcom series. Both collaborations are described on her own co-writing page.
