Erotica Apps

LGBTQ Erotica Apps and Sites

Fourteen services in our research publish an LGBTQ+ category, pairing tags or a queer filter, and they do it in four different ways: one LGBTQ+ category, separate gay, lesbian and bisexual categories, pairing tags such as F4F and M/M, or a filter by orientation. The label you search for decides what you find.

Quick answer

  • Who publishes it: 14 services. Eleven on a category page, genre row or tag list of their own, Scripts on App Store text, and two (Literotica and Archive of Our Own) on category counts we read but do not link.
  • Four labelling models: a single LGBTQ+ category (Audible, Smashwords, Wattpad, GoodNovel, OhCleo), separate categories (Chyoa, Literotica), pairing tags (Quinn, and the relationship categories at Archive of Our Own) and a filter (Dipsea).
  • Counts: Audible's LGBTQ+ category showed 30,608 titles on October 27, 2026, and LGBTQ+ romance 20,098. Literotica lists Gay Male at 41.7k stories, Lesbian Sex at 27k and Transgender at 20.4k.
  • Gaps: Apple Books and Google Play Books have no LGBTQ+ category on the pages we read.
  • Free and formats: seven services have some free reading or listening. Audio exists on 7, interactive stories on 4 and AI-written stories on 1.

What LGBTQ erotica covers, and why labels differ

LGBTQ erotica covers gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans and queer stories, usually with queer characters at the centre and romance or sex on the page. Services label it in different ways, and some audio apps tag by the pairing of speaker and listener instead of identity. The boundary is fuzzy because mainstream libraries file queer fiction under LGBTQ+ whether or not it is erotic.

That makes this a genre where the search term matters. A reader who types "LGBTQ" will find a category at one service, nothing at another, and a pairing tag at a third. The table groups the 14 by how they label it.

The figures belong to different units and dates and are not comparable. Audible counts titles in a general catalogue, Literotica counts stories, Archive of Our Own counts works in relationship categories and Quinn counts audios or tags without saying which.

Retail stores

Audible has an LGBTQ+ category, 30,608 titles on its page header on October 27, 2026 as seen from an EU address, and a sub-category for LGBTQ+ romance. Both are general retail counts, so most of what they hold is not erotic, and Audible's counts move between loads. Smashwords has an LGBTQ+ category as well and hides erotica until a registered user switches it on. Apple Books and Google Play Books have no LGBTQ+ category on the pages we read, so a reader there would be using search.

Audio

Three audio services stand out. Dipsea lets listeners filter for queer or straight stories and tags sapphic, queer and M/M, with M/F/M beside them. It has no free plan, charges $12.99 a month or $69.99 a year, and gives a 7-day trial on the annual plan only. Its site did not load when we rechecked on October 27, 2026, so the tags come from our research record of its home page, and the App Store listing confirms the filter wording.

Quinn tags by pairing and orientation, with families such as m4f, f4f, m4m and nb4a, plus bisexual and trans tags. Its numbers are unlabelled, so we cannot say how many audios sit behind them. It charges $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year and states no free tier. OhCleo has a single LGBTQ+ category, a free account with three stories in full, and a one-month plan of $4.99 on the App Store. Audible has audiobooks in its LGBTQ+ category. Our audio erotica section sets the paid services side by side.

Reading apps, story sites and choice games

Wattpad has an LGBTQ+ genre in its home page row. Its guidelines allow explicit scenes only in stories rated Mature, and it is free with ads. GoodNovel lists LGBTQ+ and MM Romance among its genres, and its terms bar sexually explicit description. Webnovel is also recorded for the genre, though our record names no shelf or count. Spicify names LGBTQ+ among its popular genres and adds GL and BL on its About page.

Chyoa is a free, ad-supported library of branching adult fiction written by its members, with separate Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual categories. Scripts lists LGBTQ+ among the genres of its choice-based collection in App Store text. DreamPress AI is an AI generator with free daily credits, and the genre is recorded on its own pages. Literotica adds story games under the same adult-only rules as the rest of its site. For the choice-based side, see interactive erotica.

Some apps describe themselves as inclusive without publishing a category or filter. Yuu's App Store text says its stories cover "straight and queer storylines", and Crave's store text is similar. They are descriptions, not shelves, so we do not count them.

Free and paid

Seven services have some free reading or listening: Smashwords, OhCleo, Wattpad, Chyoa, DreamPress AI, Literotica and Archive of Our Own. Literotica and Archive of Our Own are free throughout, the latter without ads, and Chyoa lets you read most stories signed out. Audible ($8.99 a month after a 30-day trial), Dipsea and GoodNovel have no free tier. Quinn, Webnovel, Spicify and Scripts do not state what is free on the pages we read. "Free" means a free part of a library in most of these.

Audio, interactive and AI versions

Audio exists on Audible, Quinn, OhCleo, Dipsea, DreamPress AI, Spicify and Literotica. Interactive stories exist on Chyoa, DreamPress AI, Scripts and Literotica's story games, and the only AI-written source is DreamPress AI. The AI erotica section covers the generators.

LGBTQ stories run through every other page in this section. The nearest are erotic romance, dark romance and adult fantasy, and the full list sits on the genres hub.

FAQ

Does Literotica have gay and lesbian categories?

Yes. Its category index lists Gay Male with 41.7k stories, Lesbian Sex with 27k and Transgender with 20.4k, read on October 27, 2026. We do not link to the categories.

What does F4F mean on an audio app?

It is a pairing tag of the kind Quinn uses, alongside m4f, m4m and nb4a. Some audio apps tag by the pairing of speaker and listener instead of identity, and Quinn's own pages are the place to confirm what its tags mean.

Is there an LGBTQ category on Audible?

Yes. Audible lists LGBTQ+ with 30,608 titles on October 27, 2026 and an LGBTQ+ romance sub-category of 20,098. They are general retail counts, not erotic ones.

Does Archive of Our Own have an LGBTQ category?

No. It has relationship categories such as M/M and F/F, which listed 7,695,737 and 1,613,175 works on October 27, 2026 across all ratings. It is a fact about the archive and not a recommendation.

Where can I read queer erotica free?

Literotica and Archive of Our Own are free throughout. Chyoa is free to read signed out, and Wattpad and OhCleo have free reading with limits. Smashwords has free titles but hides erotica until switched on.

Are there interactive queer stories?

Yes, on Chyoa, DreamPress AI, Scripts and Literotica's story games. They differ in who writes the stories and what is allowed.
