What Is DreamPress AI?

DreamPress AI is an AI story generator from DREAMPRESS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. It writes chaptered stories, runs chat and roleplay with characters you create, and narrates what it writes. The pricing page lists a full rich-text editor, guided wizards, group chats, personas, reply variants, and Explore, publish and remix features, plus export. The iPhone listing is titled "Dreampress AI: Story Generator".

The pricing page lists genres including "Spicy 18+", and the terms say The Service is strictly for adults. The home page makes claims about numbers of writers and chapters, which are marketing and not a library size, so we leave them out.

DreamPress AI review: who it suits

On the published pages, DreamPress AI suits a reader who wants free daily generations, narration and choose-your-path stories in one place, and who will accept different prices on the web and on iOS. A free account is a real way in, though a daily allowance is a rationed one.

It is a weaker fit if you want to compare memory by a number, because none is published, or if you are on Android, where we found no listing. Our page on branching choices shows where else choice-driven stories exist.

Whose model is it, and what is allowed

The content rules at an AI story service follow whoever supplies the model. DreamPress AI's pricing page speaks of "the standard model" for unlimited writing and of "premium-model chapters" bought with credits, but names neither and does not say who supplies them. We cannot tell you whether another company's limits sit under DreamPress AI's own, or whether its content policy applies differently to the standard and premium models.

What it does publish is its own Content Policy, which has a section headed "Sexual and Erotic Content". It is one of the more detailed rules in this section, set out below. For the wider picture, see whether AI story apps allow NSFW.

What the free tier gets you

The Free plan is $0 and described as "always". It gives 15 credits daily once email is verified, 50 bonus credits for verifying, and 20 a day from day 7 of a writing streak. There is no monthly allowance, and every chapter spends credits. Images (covers, portraits, scene art) cost 3 credits each, and narration replays cost 1 credit. Daily credits reset each day. Narration is bundled with every generation, so the first listen is included and replays are what you pay for.

The pricing page does not say how many credits a chapter costs, so we cannot tell you how many chapters 15 credits buy. Free accounts also get the editor, the wizards, a self-updating story memory with "living lore", Explore, publish and remix, and export.

What Pro adds, and what the credits cost

Pro lists unlimited writing (chapters, chat replies and edits on the standard model, subject to a fair-use ceiling), 1,000 credits every month for images and premium-model chapters that do not roll over, unlimited chat replies, rewrites and choice refreshes, narration and chat replays, consistent characters across images, five art styles, automatic character voices plus custom blends, and long-term memory.

The credit arithmetic is clearer than most. The 1,000 monthly credits in a $9.99 plan work out at about 1.0 cent each. The web top-ups run 400 credits for $4.99 (1.25 cents each), 900 for $9.99 (1.11), 2,000 for $19.99 (1.00), 5,500 for $49.99 (0.91) and 12,000 for $99.99 (0.83). Purchased credits never expire and are spent last, and the first pack ever bought is doubled.

At 3 credits an image, that is about 3.75 cents per image from the smallest pack, 3.0 cents from Pro's monthly credits and 2.5 cents from the largest pack. If you spent all 1,000 Pro credits on images you would get 333. The cost of a chapter in credits is the one number that would complete the sum, and it is not published.

Memory is described, not measured. The pages say "self-updating story memory and living lore" and, on Pro, "long-term memory", with no sizes. Elsewhere in this section tiers are sold on a published context window; here you would have to take the claim on trust.

How much DreamPress AI costs

Web and iOS prices differ, and the pricing page says so: Prices shown for web. iOS subscription pricing differs. The App Store listing calls the tier "Unlimited", where the website calls it Pro. Monthly is $9.99 on the web and $12.99 on iOS, a difference of $3.00, or 30 percent. Yearly is $71.99 on the web and $78.00 or $79.99 on iOS, two items the listing shows as "Yearly" at different prices, $6.01 and $8.00 more. A third yearly item, "Special", is $48.00, and the listing does not say who is offered it.

The iOS list also carries a weekly plan at $9.99, which has no equivalent on the website. Fifty-two weekly payments come to $519.48, against $119.88 for twelve monthly payments on the web. The yearly web price of $71.99 saves $47.89, or 40 percent, which matches the "Save 40%" on the page and works out at $6.00 a month. We did not see the iOS purchase screen, so we cannot say which of the five items a new subscriber is offered. For the mechanics, see how story app credits work.

Narration, choices and characters

Narration is AI-generated, with automatic character voices and custom blends on Pro, so it belongs with the services on our page about voice narration as synthetic, not human. Choose-your-path choices exist: the iOS listing says Make choices that shape the plot (choose your path) and Pro lists unlimited choice refreshes. The 18+ gate and the content policy

The entry gate reads Made for adults, so you must be 18 or older to enter. An "I'm under 18" button blocks access, and the terms add that where the law requires it, DreamPress AI may ask you to complete an age check. The App Store rates the app 18+.

The Content Policy's Sexual and Erotic Content section says All characters must be over the age of 18. It goes on: Age play, where a character may pretend to be under 18 or is featured in 'childlike scenarios' is NOT ALLOWED. And: Anyone found to be making content with characters under the age of 18 will be permanently banned and may be reported to their local authorities. Real people without their consent are also barred, and non-human characters must be anthropomorphised and able to give consent.

The policy is also explicit on consent: You must not create content that encourages, excuses or contains non-consensual sexual acts or sexual violence, and 'Consensual non consent' is not permitted. The Terms & Policies page was last updated on August 13, 2026. A separate Content Monitoring Policy escalates CSAM reports, and we read it only in part. The sentence about characters is DreamPress AI's own rule, not something we checked against the stories, which we have not audited.

Cancelling and refunds

Paid subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. On the web you cancel from your account page. On iOS you cancel from the subscription settings inside the app or from your Apple ID settings. Cancelling stops future billing, and access continues to the end of the paid period. The refund rule follows UK consumer law. If you have not used the subscription at all, meaning none of the credits you were given, you may request a refund within 14 days of the purchase date; using it cancels that right. How refunds work for App Store purchases is not described, and Apple's own process is outside what we read. The privacy policy is a section of the same Terms & Policies page, and we recorded none of its contents; see whether erotica apps are private for how the others compare.

Mobile app and web version

The web app has an "Open App" button, and the iPhone app is free with in-app purchases. We found no Android listing linked, so we say nothing either way. Offline reading and a private library are not mentioned on the pages we read.

If you want narration and an explicit rule on characters, Erota has a daily free allowance and a footer sentence saying all characters are adults, though its listening is priced in credits. For typed, open-ended play, AI Dungeon sells context tiers and has an iPhone and an Android app. DreamGen starts free and sells context at 5,000 to 30,000 tokens.
