Erota Review

AI story tool

Erota is a web service that writes explicit erotic stories to a form you fill in, run on credits: a free account gets 15 a day, and paid plans start at $9.90 a month for 200 credits. This Erota review works out what a credit buys, explains why its two payment routes show different prices, and sets out the age rule the site publishes.

Quick answer

  • Free: a free account with 15 daily credits that expire at the end of the day. They cover the Apprentice model at 1 credit a story; the Artisan and Master models need paid credits.
  • Price: Premium $9.90, Pro $14.90 and Ultimate $29.90 a month on the erota.ai checkout, with 200, 400 and 1,000 monthly credits. Patreon sells the same tier names in euros plus VAT.
  • What a credit buys: a story costs 1, 2 or 4 credits depending on the model, and listening to it costs 8 at Standard quality or 16 at HD.
  • Where: the web. We found no link to an iPhone or Android listing.
  • Age: the pricing page footer says All characters are 18 years or older. The Terms bar sexual content with people under 18 and a short list of other themes.

What Is Erota?

Erota describes itself as Custom Explicit Erotic stories written by AI. The home page is a form: you pick acts, themes, perspective, writing style, length, language and an AI model, and the service writes the story. A story can be a single piece or a multi-chapter "Novel Studio" project, and "Continue Story" extends one you have started. Roleplay and Adventure modes appear in the navigation.

You can add up to four optional characters, who star in your story and its next chapters. The language selector offers English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. The Terms name only "Erota" as the operator, with California governing law, so we cannot tell you which company runs it.

Erota review: who it suits

Going by the published pages, Erota suits a reader who wants a story generated to their own prompt, wants to try that daily at no cost, and is comfortable with a credit system where different actions have different prices. Explicit content is the product, so there is no filter to switch off.

It is a weaker fit if you want a published library to browse, human narration (the voices are AI text-to-speech), or an app: the site links no store listing. If you want a typed, open-ended adventure rather than a form-driven story, AI Dungeon is built for that.

Whose model is it?

The content rules at an AI story service follow whoever supplies the model. Erota offers models called Apprentice, Artisan and Master, and the home page picker adds Grandmaster. None of the pages we read says who builds or hosts them, so we cannot tell you whether another company's limits sit under Erota's own.

The rules Erota does publish are its own. The Terms, last updated 3/18/2026, ask users to avoid depicting or including in stories Minors (real or fictional persons under 18 years old) or animals in sexual contexts, rape or any type of violence, scat and vore. That list is short and specific, and it is the whole of the published content rule. For how other services handle the same question, see our guide to NSFW rules at AI story apps.

What a credit buys

This is where the real cost sits. According to the FAQ, a story costs 1 credit on the Apprentice model, 2 paid credits on Artisan and 4 paid credits on Master. A novel charges the model's price for the outline and again for each chapter, and regenerating costs again. Listening costs 8 credits per story at Standard quality and 16 at HD; for a novel it is the number of chapters times 8 or 16. The FAQ also says policy violations cost 1 to 5 credits each.

Free credits are daily and do not accumulate: 15 a day, expiring at the end of the day, enough for up to 15 Apprentice stories. Because the Artisan and Master models need paid credits, the daily allowance does not reach them. The pricing page lists listening as a paid-tier feature; whether free accounts can use it is not stated.

On the erota.ai checkout, with monthly billing and only the monthly credits counted, the arithmetic is below. A credit works out at 4.95 cents on Premium, 3.73 cents on Pro and 2.99 cents on Ultimate.

Plan (monthly billing)Monthly creditsArtisan stories (2 credits)Master stories (4 credits)Standard listens (8 credits)
Premium, $9.90200100, about 9.9 cents each50, about 19.8 cents each25, about 39.6 cents each
Pro, $14.90400200, about 7.5 cents each100, about 14.9 cents each50, about 29.8 cents each
Ultimate, $29.901,000500, about 6.0 cents each250, about 12.0 cents each125, about 23.9 cents each

HD listening doubles the listening cost. One caution applies to every figure above: the home page model picker labels the models Apprentice 4, Artisan (3x), Master (4x) and Grandmaster (6x), which does not match the FAQ's 1, 2 and 4. The FAQ and the home page are both Erota's, and we have not reconciled them. The table uses the FAQ. Our guide to how story app credits work explains why it pays to do this sum before subscribing.

There are two routes to a paid plan, and they publish different prices in different currencies. The erota.ai pricing page sells directly in US dollars, and its toggle shows a per-month figure for each billing term: Premium $9.90 monthly, $8.90 on quarterly billing (shown as 10 percent off) and $7.90 on yearly billing (20 percent off); Pro $14.90, $13.40 and $11.90; Ultimate $29.90, $26.90 and $23.90. The yearly view prints only the monthly equivalent. If it is billed as twelve equal months the year would come to $94.80 for Premium, but the page prints no yearly total, so check the checkout before you rely on that.

Patreon, which the FAQ names as the way to become a paid member, shows €9, €13.50 and €27 a month plus VAT for Premium, Pro and Ultimate, with a "Pay annually" option (save 16 percent) and a gift option. We read that page from an EU address and Patreon may localise the currency. The credit allowances of the Patreon tiers were not recorded, so we cannot say they match the checkout's 200, 400 and 1,000. The euro rows in the table above are converted to dollars and marked with a tilde.

The tier names are not visible as text on the pricing page, which shows them as card art. They come from the checkout item IDs and from Patreon. Pro and Ultimate add commercial rights to the generated text and audio, and Ultimate adds early access to new features. The home page also still shows an expired "New Year Deal" banner dated until 1/3/26, so check any figure at checkout.

A 7-day free trial is offered on Premium, Pro and Ultimate, and Patreon shows one too. Whether a card is needed is not stated. For the wider picture on free access, see free AI erotica stories.

Listening, voices and languages

The voices are AI text-to-speech, not human narration, named Ethan, Thomas, Scarlett and Isabella, at Standard or HD quality, with optional sex sounds. Listening is priced separately in credits as above. The story language is chosen on the form. Our page on voice narration lists who uses human narrators instead.

Cancelling and refunds

The FAQ points paid members to Patreon for cancelling and says Only you can cancel your Patreon membership (we cannot). How to cancel a plan bought on the erota.ai checkout is not stated. Renewal terms are not stated either.

The refund rule is prorated. The FAQ says it depends on the share of the membership that has passed, or of purchased credits used. Its example: for a 30-day membership, a refund requested after 20 days returns one third of the money. Our guide to cancelling a story app subscription covers what to check before you start.

The age rule Erota publishes

Erota is one of three services in this section whose pages carry a sentence saying every character is an adult. The pricing page footer reads: All content on this website is 100% AI-generated and does not depict any real person. All characters are 18 years or older. Section 3 of the Terms backs it with the ban on persons under 18 in sexual contexts quoted above, and the Terms also carry an anti-human-trafficking policy.

The age check for users is a declaration. Section 1 of the Terms has users warrant that they are at least 18, and no check is described. We did not read the privacy policy, which is linked from the pricing page footer; our page on whether erotica apps are private compares what other services publish. The footer sentence describes the site's rule, not the stories, which we have not audited.

Mobile app and web version

  • No operator name, no stated model supplier, no app listing
  • Listening is expensive in credits: 8 to 16 a story

Best Erota alternatives

DreamPress AI also gives free daily credits and adds chaptered stories and bundled narration, with different web and iOS prices. NovelX writes explicit stories with audio, though its policy and its library disagree; the page explains how. DreamGen offers a free tier of credits for role-play and stories. For typed, open-ended play, AI Dungeon sells context tiers instead of credits per story.

For the full field, see AI porn story generators and custom erotic story generators. Back in the section, the AI story hub covers every service, and platform reviews lists the rest. Our page on apps with AI-generated stories compares who says so on their own pages.

Final verdict

Erota is a form-driven explicit story generator with a usable free daily allowance, a published credit price list and a clear age sentence. Do the credit sum for your model before paying, because Artisan and Master stories cost two and four times Apprentice, and expect to confirm prices and cancellation at checkout. We have not used it, so this reads the published prices and rules, not the stories.
