Eight features separate one erotica app from another, and the words used for them are looser than they look. An "interactive" story can have two endings or a full branching tree. "Audio" can mean a hired cast or a text-to-speech voice. "AI" can mean the library, the narrator or only a chat layer. Each page below lists the services that say they have the feature, groups them by how central it is to what they do, and says what is free and what the limits are.
The lists are built from what each service publishes about itself, in its pricing pages, help centres, terms and store listings, checked on October 27, 2026. A service missing from a list has not published an answer, which is not the same as a no. We did not install or use any of them, so a list tells you what a service says, not what it does. In all, 58 services appear in at least one list.
The eight at a glance
The counts are services that say they have the feature. The last column is the thing each word hides.
| Feature | Services | What the word hides |
|---|---|---|
| Interactive stories | 33 | Three products: a studio's choice game, branches written by other readers, and a model that writes what you type |
| Branching choices | 29 | None publishes a count of endings; seven name the ending and nine only say that choices matter |
| Audio | 23 | Nine are built for audio, seven keep it as a section of a larger library, and seven read text aloud |
| Voice narration | 11 | Four say a person narrates, five say the voice is AI, and two do not say |
| Offline reading | 13 | Downloads locked inside an app (eleven) or plain files you keep (two); five services say they offer neither |
| Custom stories | 11 | Nearly always AI, so what is allowed follows the model, not the app |
| AI-generated stories | 14 | Three libraries generated in advance, nine written to your prompt and two tools for authors; three services say they never use it |
| Character customisation | 5 | Anything from swapping a name to a cast the model keeps across chapters |
Which services collect the features
Most services appear in only one or two lists: 9 appear in one and 34 in two. The ones that appear in many are AI services. DreamPress AI is on seven of the eight lists and Erota on six, while Pirr, Satinaire, StoryLoom and NovelAI are on five each. The specialist audio apps and the choice-game apps are the opposite: Dipsea appears on three lists and Chapters on two. A long list of features mostly reflects what a text generator can be pointed at, not how good it is, and the pages say what each service does with it.
Offline reading is the odd one out. It does not overlap with the AI features at all: none of the thirteen services that document downloads is on our AI-generated stories list. Our guide to reading erotica offline covers the practical side.
Choosing a page
- You want to choose what happens: start with interactive stories, then branching choices for how far the choices go. The interactive erotica section compares the thirteen services with the fullest data.
- You want to listen: audio, then voice narration for who or what is reading. The audio erotica section covers prices and ages.
- You want a story written for you: custom stories, AI-generated stories and character customisation. Our AI erotica stories section covers the models behind them.
- You want to read without a connection: offline reading.
If you already know the service, go to the apps or platforms section for its review. To see how we check and what we refuse to guess, read how we check apps and prices, and for a path through all of it, see how to choose an erotica app.
