Quick answer
- What is covered: services that write or play stories from your prompt, form or choices. AI girlfriend, companion and sexting apps are a different product and are not ranked here.
- Our order: Erota, AI Dungeon, DreamPress AI, NovelAI, Pirr, Outfox Stories, DreamGen, NovelX, Satinaire. Two thin listings and three non-erotica or writers' services are left unranked.
- Only Erota prices a story: 1, 2 or 4 credits by model, which on its $9.90 plan is about 5, 10 or 20 cents by our arithmetic.
- Free: Erota and DreamPress AI give 15 credits a day, Pirr 20 Standard actions, DreamGen 200 monthly and 25 daily credits, AI Dungeon a limited tier. NovelAI has none, only a one-time trial.
- Adult content: Erota, DreamPress AI, Pirr, AI Dungeon, Outfox Stories and NovelX say it is allowed in their own words. NovelAI and DreamGen are not confirmed either way.
What this list is, and what it leaves out
Search for the phrase and the first pages are mostly companion apps: an AI partner you chat with, flirt with and sometimes pay for photos. We do not cover them, and a ranking of them would be a ranking of a different product. What we can honestly answer is which services write fiction for an adult reader, to a prompt, a form or a set of choices, and what each publishes about price, limits and rules. Our AI erotica stories hub compares the nine side by side.
Three kinds of service are left out on purpose. Sudowrite and NovelCrafter are writers' tools, built for drafting a novel, and are never ranked as reading apps; the nearest page is the best erotica platforms for writers. StoryLoom, an AI interactive fiction service for adults that launched on October 20, 2026, bars pornographic content in its own policy, so it is not an erotica service. And two listings are too thin to rank, which the next section explains.
How we ranked them, and what we could not test
We created no accounts, wrote no prompts and generated nothing. So the ranking cannot say how good any model's prose is, how well it keeps a character consistent over a long story or how it handles a request on the day. Everything comes from each service's pricing page, terms, help centre, policies and store listing, read on October 27, 2026. Five questions set the order:
- What does it make, and what does a unit cost? A published price per story or per turn beats a plan with no unit.
- Is there a free route you can count? Daily credits or a monthly allowance beat a vague free tier.
- Does it say in writing that adult content is allowed, and how do you get in? An own-words rule and a gate beat silence.
- Where does it run? The web, iPhone and Android, and whether the web price differs from the store's.
- Can you leave? A published cancel route and refund rule matter more with credits.
The order is for a reader choosing a first service. It is not a ranking of the stories, and a service can lead on one question and still rank lower overall.
The ranking: nine AI story services in order

Erota
Best for explicit stories from a form, with a price per story you can work out
$9.90/mofree tier
- Type
- AI-written explicit erotic story generator (web)
- Free tier
- Yes
- Library
- Not confirmed
- Explicit content
- Yes
- Creator program
- Not confirmed
- Web version
- Yes
Erota is the only AI service here that prints what a story costs. Its FAQ puts one story at 1 credit on the Apprentice model, 2 paid credits on Artisan and 4 on Master. On the $9.90 Premium plan, which holds 200 monthly credits, a credit is 4.95 cents, so an Apprentice story is about 5 cents, an Artisan story about 10 and a Master story about 20, before the free daily credits. A free account gets 15 credits a day that expire at the end of the day and do not accumulate. You build a story from a form (acts, themes, perspective, style, length, language and up to four characters), and the pricing page footer says All characters are 18 years or older.
The cautions: it is web only, and the home page labels the larger models Artisan (3x)
and Master (4x)
, which does not match the FAQ. A policy violation costs 1 to 5 credits, and listening to a story costs 8 credits at Standard quality and is listed under the paid plans. The age check is a warranty in the Terms.

AI Dungeon
Best for typing your own half of the story, on the web or a phone
$14.99/mofree tier
- Type
- AI text adventure and story game (web, iOS and Android)
- Free tier
- Yes
- Library
- Not confirmed
- Explicit content
- Yes
- Creator program
- Not confirmed
- Web version
- Yes
AI Dungeon is an open-ended text adventure: you type actions, speech or story text and the model continues the scene. It runs on the web, iPhone and Android, and has a free tier with 4k tokens of context on most models and 25 Memories. The paid tiers publish what they hold. Journey is $14.99 a month with 8k context, 100 Memories and 760 monthly credits, and the top public tier, Ultimate at $99.99, lists 64k context where its help page says 32k. Adult content sits behind an account-wide AI Safety Setting, and at Mature the help centre says Using the Mature level will not limit the AI from generating mature, violent, or triggering content.
You confirm you are 18+ to enable it.
The cautions: whether the free tier can switch Mature on is not stated, a filter for sexual content involving characters under 18 keeps running even on Mature, and we found no sentence saying all characters are adults. Its models are listed without saying who supplies each.

DreamPress AI
Best for chaptered stories with narration and a free daily allowance, no card needed
$9.99/mofree tier
- Type
- AI story generator for spicy and general fiction (web and iOS)
- Free tier
- Yes
- Library
- Not confirmed
- Explicit content
- Yes
- Creator program
- Not confirmed
- Web version
- Yes
DreamPress AI writes chaptered stories and runs character chat, with narration bundled into every generation and choose-your-path choices. The free plan gives 15 credits a day once your email is verified, 50 bonus credits for verifying and 20 a day from day 7 of a writing streak, and its page says Free to start · No card needed · 18+
. Pro is $9.99 a month or $71.99 a year on the web, and $12.99 a month on iPhone, with unlimited writing on the standard model subject to a fair-use ceiling and 1,000 credits a month for images and premium-model chapters. Its Content Policy says All characters must be over the age of 18.
The cautions: it runs on the web and iPhone, with no Android app recorded, and the credit cost of a chapter is not published, so the number of free chapters a day is unknown. It does not say who supplies its models.

NovelAI
Best for unlimited text at a flat monthly price
$10.00/mo
- Type
- Subscription AI storyteller and anime image generator (web app)
- Free tier
- No
- Library
- Not confirmed
- Explicit content
- Not confirmed: the terms do not restrict adult content, but no sentence states that it is permitted
- Creator program
- Not confirmed
- Web version
- Yes
NovelAI is a subscription storyteller: you write in a document editor and the model continues, or play in a Text Adventure mode with Do and Say commands. Text generation is unlimited on every paid tier. Tablet is $10 a month with memory of 8,192 tokens, Scroll $15 with 12,288 and Opus $25 with 28,672, renewing every 30 days. It runs in a browser and installs as a web app, with no store listing. Its Privacy Policy summarises itself as stories being end-to-end encrypted and prompts not stored.
It is fourth because two things are missing. There is no free plan, only a one-time trial of 50 text generations. And whether adult text is permitted is not confirmed: the Terms require users to be 18 or older and contain no clause restricting adult content, but no sentence says it is allowed. Refunds are not offered unless the company grants one.

Pirr
Best for interactive romance in text, with an opt-in adult setting
$12.99/mofree tier
- Type
- Interactive romance fiction app (iOS, Android, web beta)
- Free tier
- Yes
- Audio stories
- No
- Interactive stories
- Yes
- AI stories
- Yes
- iPhone app
- Yes
- Android app
- Yes
Pirr is an interactive fiction app: you choose genre, characters and setting and the story adapts line by line to your choices, in text only. Mature themes are off by default and are switched on in Advanced Settings after you confirm you are 18 or older. Its Code of Conduct says all characters involved in sexual content must be 18 or older. The free plan gives 20 daily Standard AI actions, one character per story and three saved characters. Premium is $12.99 a month or $99.99 a year on the App Store, and it runs on iPhone, Android and a web beta.
The cautions: the website prints $8.99 and $12.99 without saying which term each belongs to, the 500 Superior actions a month are marked coming soon, and its erotica is a setting, not the product, which is why it ranks fifth.

Outfox Stories
Best for human-written branches and an AI option on one site
$8.00/mofree tier
- Type
- community fiction site with an AI layer (web)
- Free tier
- Yes
- Library
- Not confirmed
- Explicit content
- Yes
- Creator program
- Yes
- Web version
- Yes
Outfox Stories is a community site for adults. Readers write branching stories, and an AI layer offers chats and text adventures. Its Premium page says The AI will write mature content
, and the guidelines allow explicit content under written rules that require an adults-only cast for mature content. Most stories move to the free tier a few months after publication, the home page says no ads and no account required, and Premium runs from $8 to $100 a month, with 100 text generations a day on Basic, 500 on Plus and virtually unlimited on Patron.
The cautions: the free AI cap is about 10 generations a day by implication and is not stated, illustrations and videos are safe for work only, a one-time age verification applies in some regions, and Cancel anytime
comes with no steps.

DreamGen
Best for role-play with a scenario you define, starting on a free plan
$7.83/mofree tier
- Type
- AI story writer and role-play platform (web)
- Free tier
- Yes
- Library
- Not confirmed
- Explicit content
- Not confirmed: the Terms do not ban adult content but no sentence states that explicit content is permitted
- Creator program
- Not confirmed
- Web version
- Yes
DreamGen writes stories and runs role-plays with AI characters from a scenario you define. The free plan gives 200 monthly credits and 25 daily credits, and the paid plans publish their context windows: Starter at a $7.83 list price for 5,000 tokens, Advanced $19.35 for 15,000 and Pro $48.30 for 30,000. Credit packs are 750 for $5.39, 3,000 for $18.29 and 9,000 for $51.79. Its Terms say private stories are not used to train models unless you opt in.
The cautions: adult content is not confirmed, since the Terms bar illegal content and sexual content involving people under 18, fictional characters included, and contain no other ban. Automated moderation scans private content, purchases are final, and the free plan's context window and model access are not stated.

NovelX
Best for explicit stories with listening, if you read the policy first
$18.99/mofree tier
- Type
- AI erotic and romance story writer (web and iOS)
- Free tier
- Start Free: 10 generation tokens
- Library
- 89,000+ stories written
- Explicit content
- Yes
- Creator program
- Not confirmed
- Web version
- Yes
NovelX describes itself as an AI erotic and romance story writer: you describe an idea, build characters and generate chaptered stories, and supported chapters can be listened to. It runs on the web and iPhone behind an 18+ gate on first load. The free plan is 10 generation tokens with no definition of a token, and Premium is $18.99 a month, with a weekly iOS item at $4.99. A homepage counter reads 89,000+ stories written, which is the vendor's figure.
It is eighth because its own pages disagree. The web plan block lists no content limits
beside an Acceptable Use Policy that bans incest and non-consensual content, while on October 27, 2026 its public library listed an Incest tag with 13 stories and a Dubcon tag with 36 or more. We have not vetted any story. Cancellation steps and a refund rule are not recorded.

Satinaire
Best for Android readers who want to set a spice level
Freecoin prices not published
- Type
- AI-written romance and fantasy serial app (Android only)
- Free tier
- Yes
- Audio stories
- Yes
- Interactive stories
- Not confirmed
- AI stories
- Yes
- iPhone app
- No
- Android app
- Yes
Satinaire is a free Android app of AI-written romance and fantasy serials where you pick genres, tropes and a spice level. Its Terms restrict content at spice level 4 and above, and its explicit genre categories, to accounts aged 18 or over, with 17 the minimum to create an account, and the date of birth is asked when you open restricted content. Reading is free with ads between chapters, and coins unlock chapters at prices it does not publish. Its Terms say its stories, illustrations, character voices and narration are generated by AI systems.
It is last of the nine because it is a library more than a generator, its story counts disagree (900+ on Google Play, 1,500+ on the website), coin prices are not published and it is Android only. The Google Play rating is the 13+ tier, below its own terms.
Two listings too thin to rank
Erotic Stories - Erotica is an iPhone audio app whose own listing says its stories are AI-generated and not curated. It lists $5.99 a week, $29.99 a year and a one-time $39.99 whose contents are not stated, and mentions a 3-day trial without saying which plan carries it. No library size, free tier or Android listing is recorded, and the Terms have no age clause. Smuthie offers custom spicy romance with choices at the end of each chapter on iPhone and Android, but its listings never say AI, never say whether scenes are explicit, and it has not been updated since July 2025. Ranking either on a price and a listing would be ranking it on impressions.
Leaving: how to cancel, and what each says about refunds
With credits and subscriptions, the exit matters as much as the entrance, and the services publish very different amounts. This is what the records hold, in the services' own terms; "not recorded" means we did not find it in the pages we read.
| Service | Cancel route published | Refund rule published |
|---|---|---|
| On Patreon, where only you can cancel; the route for its own checkout is not stated | Prorated by the share of the membership passed, or of purchased credits used | |
| Web: profile picture, Settings, Membership | Discretionary; none for partly used periods; Apple refunds only through Apple | |
| Web: the account page. iPhone: the app's subscription settings or the Apple ID settings | An unused subscription can be refunded on request within 14 days | |
Through the payment processor or its payment center; privileges last to the end of the paid period | None unless the company grants one | |
| In the app: Profile, Settings, Manage Subscription | Non-refundable unless the plan or law says otherwise; a user who breaks the Terms loses purchases | |
| "Cancel anytime"; where to cancel is not stated | Not recorded | |
| The account management page or an email to support | All purchases are final, with exceptions required by law or at its discretion | |
| Not recorded | Not recorded | |
| Through Google Play, with the account that made the purchase | Final, except where law or Google Play policy requires otherwise |
Only DreamPress AI promises a refund window. Erota prorates, and the rest say no or leave it to discretion. As general advice, read this before you buy a pack of credits, since credits are the part a refund rule rarely covers. How to cancel a story app subscription has the store routes.
Whose model, and what that means for the order
The content rules belong to whoever supplies the model, and few of these services say who that is. AI Dungeon lists models without saying who supplies each, NovelAI's home page says its story generation is powered by GLM 4.6 and names no supplier, and Erota, DreamPress AI, NovelX and Pirr name none. So an own-words yes from the app is the app's yes: whether the model underneath follows it is a separate question, which our page on NSFW rules at AI story apps takes up. That is why the order rewards a written rule and a gate, and does not treat any service as uncensored.
Every age check among the nine is a declaration, a button, a warranty in the terms or a date of birth, and none describes a document check. Three print a sentence that all characters are adults, or must be: Erota, DreamPress AI and Pirr. For the dials and gates see AI adult story generators, and for what each refuses, AI porn story generators.
Which one for which reader
- You want a form and a price: Erota. Our page on custom erotic story generators compares what each lets you supply.
- You want to steer by typing: AI Dungeon on a free tier, or NovelAI if you accept paying first.
- You want choices, narration and no card: DreamPress AI, or Pirr for text-only romance.
- You want to compare free plans before anything else: free AI erotica stories sets out each allowance. If you wanted a reading app and not a writer, the best erotica apps page is the place to start.
FAQ
What is the best AI erotica app?
By what each publishes, Erota ranks first because it is the only service that prices a story and it prints a sentence that all characters are adults. AI Dungeon and DreamPress AI follow. We generated nothing, so this ranks pages and not the quality of the writing.
Are AI girlfriend apps the same as AI erotica apps?
No. A companion app is a chat partner you talk to. The services here write stories from your prompt, form or choices. We do not cover companion or sexting apps, which is why this page may not match the results Google shows for the phrase.
Is there a free AI erotica app?
Erota and DreamPress AI each give a free account 15 credits a day, Pirr gives 20 Standard AI actions, DreamGen 200 monthly and 25 daily credits, and AI Dungeon has a limited free tier. NovelAI has no free plan, only a one-time trial. Whether AI Dungeon's free tier can switch on Mature is not stated.
Which AI erotica apps are easiest to cancel?
Pirr (in the app), DreamPress AI (the account page or the Apple ID settings) and AI Dungeon (profile, Settings, Membership) publish a route. Erota's published route is Patreon, and Outfox Stories and NovelX publish none. Only DreamPress AI promises a refund window.
Do AI erotica apps say that all characters are adults?
Erota's pricing page footer does, and DreamPress AI's Content Policy and Pirr's Code of Conduct say so. AI Dungeon says such a disclaimer does not help when context implies otherwise, and NovelAI and DreamGen show no such sentence. That describes the pages, not the stories.
Is there an AI erotica app for Android?
Of the nine, AI Dungeon and Pirr have Android apps and Satinaire is Android only. The others run on the web, and DreamPress AI and NovelX add an iPhone app.
