Erotica Apps

Best Erotica Apps

For a reader who wants erotica on a phone and has no strong preference for audio or text, our first pick is Dipsea: $12.99 a month or $69.99 a year, on iPhone, Android and the web. The free pick is Literotica, a website with no store app, and the lowest price quoted in both store listings is Quinn at $7.99 a month. Eight services are ranked here on what they publish about themselves, and we say what we could not test.

Updated

Quick answer

  • First pick: Dipsea, a subscription library of voice-acted erotic stories with some novels to read, at $12.99 a month or $69.99 a year on iPhone, Android and the web. It is first because more of its record is confirmed for a phone reader than any other service here, not because we listened to it.
  • Free: Literotica costs nothing to read, has no store app, and prints Characters in all stories are over 18 in its footer. Free accounts at OhCleo and Bloom Stories give a limited taste of audio.
  • Lowest price in both store listings: Quinn, $7.99 a month. OhCleo lists $4.99 a month on the App Store, but its Android price is not published.
  • Text only on iPhone: Crave, whose Terms say every character is portrayed as 18 or older. What it gives you for free is not described.
  • Not tested: we install nothing, subscribe to nothing and listen to nothing. The order is a judgement from published facts, and the label on each pick says what it wins on.

What counts as an erotica app on this list

When we read the Google results for this search on October 27, 2026, they were a mix of Reddit and forum threads, store listings and magazine roundups, with no maintained comparison among them. This page is meant to be that comparison for one reader: someone who wants to read or hear erotica on a phone and does not mind which format it comes in.

An erotica app here is a service whose own pages say it publishes erotic stories, as text or audio, and that you can use on a phone. A website that works in a phone browser counts, which is why Literotica is on the list. This is the main page of our best-of lists. Four neighbouring searches have their own pages, because the people behind them want different things. If you want story apps built around chapters and choices, see our list of adult story apps. If you typed the explicit word, best porn story apps sorts the results into what you can read, what an AI writes and what is video. Reading sites and stores are on erotic fiction platforms, and romance apps whose terms ban explicit text are on romance reading apps.

How we picked, and what we could not test

We ranked on five points, and every one is something a service publishes about itself.

  1. Erotica is the product. Its own pages say it publishes erotic or explicit stories. An 18+ store rating alone does not count.
  2. It works on a phone. A store listing, or a site that runs in a phone browser.
  3. Price and free access are published. A plan price we can read, or a statement of what a free account holds.
  4. It states a rule. A minimum age for users and, better, a sentence about the age of the characters.
  5. It looks maintained. A store update inside the last twelve months, where a store app exists.

The order is a judgement, not a calculation. We weighed the five points together, gave most weight to the first three because they decide whether a reader can start at all, and used the amount of confirmed detail to settle ties. A service with a gap on any point is placed lower and its entry names the gap. We publish no scores, because the points are not equal and the data is not complete.

What we could not test is most of what makes an erotica app good. We did not install, subscribe to or listen to any of these, so we cannot tell you how a narrator sounds, whether the writing is any good, what a trial does when it ends, or how an age prompt looks on a phone. Library sizes are the services' own claims, not counts: Dipsea's 1000+ audio stories and audiobooks is the company's wording. Prices were read from official pages and store listings on October 27, 2026, and they move with country, store and promotion.

Dipsea sells voice-acted erotic and romance audio stories by subscription, with sleep audio and some romance novels to read. The plans are $12.99 a month or $69.99 a year, the annual plan carries a 7-day trial and the monthly plan has none. Both store descriptions quote the same two prices as the website. The company's FAQ says the library holds 1000+ audio stories and audiobooks and gets new releases weekly.

It ranks first because the record confirms the most for a phone reader: an iPhone app rated 18+, an Android app rated Mature 17+ with 500K+ downloads and an update on July 31, 2026, a web app, offline downloads in the store text and a self-declared 18+ checkbox. Watch for three gaps: no standing free plan, no sentence anywhere saying the characters are adults, and no statement on whether the trial needs a card.

Literotica is a free community site for adult fiction: stories, audio, interactive story games and comics. Reading needs no account, and membership is optional and free. Its About page claims more than 500,000 stories. It has a rule most apps here lack: a footer on every page reading Characters in all stories are over 18, backed by Content Guidelines that bar any sexual activity involving characters under 18. It also bars works generated by AI.

It is second, not first, only because the search asks for apps and it has no store app. Our check on October 27 found no iPhone app and no Literotica listing on Google Play, the About page says Google later changed its policy to prohibit adult apps after Literotica released an Android one, and the APK on its own Android page carries a 1998-2017 copyright line. You read it in Safari or Chrome. Otherwise it is the most complete record here: free all the way through, a stated rule about characters and the largest library claim. Watch for: the age check is an agreement by visiting, with no document check, and offline reading is not confirmed. Authors are not paid directly.

Quinn is a mobile app and website where independent voice creators upload audio erotica, alongside Quinn Originals voiced by known actors. Its About page says $7.99 a month, or $4.99 a month billed annually, for unlimited listening, and both store descriptions say $59.99/year or $7.99/month. Optional tips called Roses cost $2.99 for one and are bought in the app only. The public category list has about 220 tags, which tells you how the catalogue is sorted but not how big it is, because no audio count is published.

The iPhone app was updated on October 20, 2026, and the Android app, rated Mature 17+, has 1M+ downloads. Watch for: no free plan or trial is stated on the pages we read, the web annual price has no yearly total, and we found no sentence about the age of characters. The Code of Conduct says creators are vetted and bars them from interacting with people under 18, which is a rule for creators and not a statement about the library.

Crave is a text reader for erotic stories, free to download, with the line Read, don't listen in its listing. It is the one app here whose Terms contain the sentence that all characters in the stories are portrayed as 18 or older, regardless of context or setting. That is a statement in the Terms and not a check of the catalogue. The App Store rates it 18+ and shows an Age Assurance control.

It ranks fourth, not higher, because the record is thin where money is concerned: ten subscription items from $4.99 to $69.99, four of them with no billing period, and no description of what is free beyond one open sample story on its website. The Terms say no refunds are offered. It is iPhone only (we found no Google Play listing by name) and was last updated on February 18, 2026. No library size or genre list is published.

Pirr is an interactive fiction app in which you choose the genre, characters and setting and the story adapts line by line to your choices. It is text only. The free plan gives access to what Pirr calls thousands of stories, 20 daily Standard AI actions and one character per story. Explicit content is an opt-in setting, off by default and available only to users who confirm they are 18 or older, and its Code of Conduct says all characters involved in sexual content must be 18 or older.

Premium is $12.99 a month or $99.99 a year on the App Store. The website prints $8.99/month or $12.99/month without saying which figure belongs to which term, so we leave that unresolved. It runs on iPhone, Android (Mature 17+) and a web beta. Watch for: the stories are produced with the help of AI, the 500 Superior AI actions on Premium are marked coming soon, and the trial length is not stated.

OhCleo is a marketplace where independent performers upload audio erotica and ASMR, with free and premium tracks. We counted about 7,000 track pages and 433 creator profiles in its public sitemap on October 27, which is our count of entries and not a vendor figure. The App Store lists a one-month premium plan at $4.99, three months at $14.99 and six months at $24.99. A free account lets you hear 3 stories in full, and the FAQ says We do not normally offer free trials.

It sits sixth because its record has holes. The website lists no prices and says pricing is shown inside the app and may vary by region or platform, so the Android price is unknown. The full library is in the app, not on the web. Creator uploads are moderated by rules but not airtight: our keyword scan of the sitemap found one title in about 7,800 that breaks a ban the platform itself publishes. The FAQ calls the service strictly 18+ only, and its rule for creators allows only consensual adult fictional audio.

Spicify publishes original dark romance for adults as books, multi-voice audiobooks and Webtoons, on iPhone, Android and the web. The website lists three monthly tiers: Ink & Desire at $4.99 for reading, Voices in the Dark at $14.99 with audiobooks, and All Obsessions Unlocked at $19.99, which its FAQ calls a launch price against an original $24.99. The audiobooks use AI voices, according to its FAQ.

It is seventh because it is new and its own pages disagree. The store text says the first chapter or trailer of every story is free, while the FAQ says all books are free to read with ads. None of the pages we read says whether explicit content is allowed, and none states the age of characters. It had 2 App Store ratings and 100+ Google Play downloads when we looked, and the Refund Policy says all payments are final.

Audible is a general audiobook retailer with a top-level Erotica category. On October 27, 2026 the category page counted 55,012 titles, of which its filters showed 51,603 under Literature and Fiction and 2,870 under Sex Instruction, so not all of it is erotic fiction. Standard is $8.99 a month for one audiobook a month and Premium Plus is $14.95 for one credit that rolls over, each with a 30-day trial for new members. Apps run on iPhone and Android, with offline downloads.

It is last because a general retailer meets the first criterion only as a section. The Conditions of Use we read, last updated September 10, 2025, contain no sentence on explicit content or a minimum age that we could find, and a catalogue of that size cannot be audited by us. Choose it if the subscription is already paid for, and use its search for the category, not a recommendation from us.

What separates the eight

Audio, text or choices

Five of the eight offer audio: Dipsea, Quinn, OhCleo, Audible and, for its audiobooks, Spicify. Literotica and Crave are text. Pirr is text you steer. The format is the biggest practical difference between them.

Who is speaking

Dipsea recruits voice actors. Quinn hosts independent creators and known actors. OhCleo's creators record their own audio, and AI voices are allowed there. Spicify says its narration is synthetic. The pages we read do not say who voices the titles on Audible.

The age rules

This is where the list is thinnest. Only three of the eight print a sentence about the age of characters: Literotica in its footer, Crave in its Terms and Pirr in its Code of Conduct. Dipsea, Quinn, OhCleo and Spicify do not on the pages we read, and OhCleo has a creator rule instead. A footer is a published rule, not an audit, and we have not read the catalogues. Minimum ages for users are stated by Dipsea (18, with a checkbox), Quinn (18), OhCleo and Spicify (18) and Crave (18). Every check we could read is a declaration, and none describes a document check.

Free against paid

Only Literotica is free all the way through. Pirr gives a daily allowance of AI actions, OhCleo gives three stories, and Dipsea and Audible give a trial that turns into a charge unless you cancel. A trial is not a free tier, a distinction our best free erotica apps page spends its whole length on. Cancelling, refunds and statement lines vary: Crave and Spicify say no refunds, Pirr says non-refundable unless the plan says otherwise, and none of our records publishes a card descriptor for any service on this page. If the line on your statement matters, check the first charge yourself.

Left off, and where to look instead

Four audio services were considered and not ranked. Bloom Stories is human-narrated and says it never uses AI for its stories, but its two websites publish $29.95 and $29.99 a month, far above anything else here, and the visible plan cards could not be confirmed. BLANCHEstories has a free ad-supported version with about 100 stories and prices in kronor, 79 SEK a month, with no web player. femtasy runs only in a browser. Yuu is an iPhone app with almost no public detail. All four are covered on the audio pages, starting with best audio erotica apps. For the apps that suit a specific phone, see the lists for iPhone and Android.

Limits of this list

Three limits are worth stating plainly. First, a ranking built on what services publish rewards the ones that publish more, and a thin record is not a bad service. Second, the fifth criterion rests on a store update date, which shows an app is being looked after, not that it is good. Third, prices and plans in this niche change often and the app stores print at most ten purchase items, so the list we read can be partial. We re-check every figure here each quarter.

FAQ

What is the best app for reading erotica?

It depends on the format. For audio on a phone, Dipsea has the most confirmed for a reader on iPhone, Android or the web. For free text, Literotica is a website, not an app. For text on an iPhone, Crave states in its Terms that every character is 18 or older. None of these is a verdict on writing quality, which we cannot test.

Is there a free erotica app?

Literotica is free to read but has no store app. Among apps, OhCleo gives a free account 3 stories in full, BLANCHEstories has a free ad-supported version with about 100 stories, and Satinaire on Android is free with ads. Dipsea and Audible offer trials, which end in a charge.

Which erotica app is cheapest?

OhCleo lists $4.99 a month on the App Store, but its website and Google Play price are not published. Quinn's $7.99 a month is the lowest price quoted in both store listings. Audible Standard is $8.99 a month for one title, and Dipsea is $12.99.

Do erotica apps check your age?

Not in a way we could read. Dipsea asks you to tick a box certifying you are 18, Pirr and the others rely on a confirmation, and Literotica treats a visit as agreement. No record describes a document check. The App Store rates Dipsea, Quinn, Crave, Pirr, OhCleo and Spicify 18+, and Google Play rates those with an Android app Mature 17+.

What will an erotica app look like on my bank statement?

None of our records publishes a card descriptor, so we cannot say. Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are billed by the store. Our page on what erotica apps look like on a bank statement covers what is known.
