Erotica Apps

Best Erotica Apps for Android

Quinn and Dipsea are the adult audio apps on Google Play with the biggest published installed bases, 1M+ and 500K+ downloads, and Satinaire is the one app we cover that is Android only. Eight iPhone apps have no Google Play listing that we could find, and Literotica's own Android page offers an APK from its site, not a store app. This page sorts services by what runs on Android, and the numbers on its picks show that order, not a score.

Updated

Quick answer

  • Biggest installed bases among adult audio apps: Quinn at 1M+ and Dipsea at 500K+ Google Play downloads. A download count is how many people installed it, not how good it is.
  • Android only: Satinaire, a free Android app of AI-written serials with ads. It has no App Store listing, 100+ downloads and an update on October 24, 2026.
  • Not on Google Play: Crave, Epictos, Erotic Stories - Erotica, huush, Yuu, Velvet Novel, Lure and Moments. They are iPhone apps, and we found no Android listing by name.
  • Not a store app: Literotica. Its own Android page offers an APK download from literotica.com. Its copyright line reads 1998-2017, so we cannot say it is maintained.
  • Ratings: the audio and story apps on this page say Mature 17+ on Google Play, except Satinaire and Smuthie, which sit in Google Play's 13+ tier.

What Google Play changes

Google Play's Inappropriate Content policy says We don't allow apps that contain or promote sexual content or profanity, including pornography, the same kind of ban as Apple's. It does publish an exception for book and video catalogue apps, which may distribute titles with sexual content when those titles are a minor fraction of the catalogue, are not actively promoted, and are kept from people under 18. That is the exception reading platforms rely on. Our guide to why erotica apps vanish from the app stores covers both stores.

Two more Google details matter to a reader. Ratings come from the IARC questionnaire, and sexual content lands at Mature 17+ or Adults Only 18+. And a developer who targets only users aged 18 and over can switch on Restrict Minor Access, so that people Google determines to be under 18 cannot search for, download or purchase the app, while people who already installed it keep using it but cannot renew subscriptions or buy more. We do not know which of these apps use it. This is one of the lists in our best-of section, and the matching page for Apple is best erotica apps for iPhone.

How we sorted, and what we could not test

We grouped services by where they run, then put the larger Google Play download bucket first within a group, and the more recent update after that. The picks are numbered in that order, so the numbers are a sort order and not scores. Download buckets are the one number Google Play prints that the App Store does not. They measure how many people installed the app, which says nothing about quality, and a low bucket means the app is new or little used, so there are few reviews to lean on. We did not install anything, so we cannot say how an app behaves on Android, what permissions it asks for, or what its Android prices are. Google Play shows only a range of in-app prices, not a list. Everything is from Google Play listings and the services' own pages, read on October 27, 2026.

Quinn's Google Play listing is by Quinn Inc., rated Mature 17+, with 1M+ downloads and an update on October 19, 2026. The listing text quotes $59.99/year or $7.99/month, the same as the App Store. Roses, the optional tips for creators at $2.99 for one, are sold in the app only. The website covers browsers, so a lapsed app is not the end of access. We found no free plan or trial stated, and no sentence about the age of characters. See what Quinn costs.

Dipsea's Android listing is by Dipsea, rated Mature 17+, with 500K+ downloads and an update on July 31, 2026. Its text says Download your favorite stories to listen offline, which is the only offline claim among these Android listings. The listing quotes the same two prices as the website, $12.99 a month or $69.99 a year, and the annual plan has a 7-day trial. A web app also exists.

Pirr, Spicify and Bloom Stories complete this group, with caveats. Pirr's Android listing is rated Mature 17+ and has in-app purchases, shown as a range of $4.99 to $99.99 per item; the download count and update date are not recorded, and the Android prices are not. Its App Store prices are Premium at $12.99 a month or $99.99 a year, and explicit text is off by default, switched on under Advanced Settings by users who confirm they are 18 or older.

Spicify's Google Play text says No ads or in-app purchases. Full access is arranged externally through secure login and the listing shows no in-app purchases badge, while the iPhone listing sells six items, so which channel sells what is unconfirmed. It had 100+ downloads when we looked, and its own pages disagree about what is free. Bloom Stories' Android app was last updated in July 2025.

OhCleo's Android listing is from a developer shown as OhCleo aab, rated Mature 17+, with 500+ downloads. The App Store lists a month of premium at $4.99, but the website prices nothing and says pricing is shown inside the app and varies by region or platform, so we cannot give an Android price. A free account lets you hear 3 stories in full.

Satinaire is an app of AI-written romance and fantasy serials with an adjustable spice level, AI-narrated audio and coins that unlock chapters. Its website says it is on Google Play for Android, and we found no App Store listing. Reading is free to start, with ads between chapters, and rewarded ads can unlock free chapters. Google Play shows in-app items as a range of $0.99 to $69.99 and does not list them.

The developer is shown as Eros Media. Its Terms set 17 as the age to create an account and restrict spice level 4 and above, and its explicit genre categories, to users 18 or older, with a self-reported date of birth, while Google Play puts the app in its 13+ tier. Purchases are non-refundable under the Terms, and the library is 900+ stories on Google Play and 1,500+ on the website. There is no statement that all characters are adults.

On iPhone but not on Google Play

Eight apps in our records have an App Store listing and no Google Play listing that we could find by name: Crave, Epictos, Erotic Stories - Erotica, huush, Yuu, Velvet Novel, Lure and Moments. For Yuu the Terms say the app is currently available on iOS, and for Moments the package its official site links returns an HTTP 404. A name search is not proof that no listing exists. The iPhone page covers each one, with its rating, last update and weekly-plan sums, and Apple Books is the other store-sized reader with no Android app. If you are on Android, the Android-capable services above are the ones to read about.

Not on a store at all

Literotica has no store app that we found: no iPhone listing and no Google Play listing in a search on October 27, 2026. Its About page says it released one of the first adult Android apps and that Google later changed its policy, prohibiting all adult apps. Its own Android page, which also appears in the Google results for adult story app searches, offers an APK download from literotica.com. When we read it on October 28, it told users to allow installation from sources other than the Play Store, carried a 1998-2017 copyright line and listed version 2.1. We did not download the file and cannot say whether it is maintained.

General advice, not something we tested: an APK from a website has not been through Google Play's review, so the browser version is the safer way to read Literotica on Android, and it needs nothing installed. femtasy, Smashwords and Archive of Our Own are likewise web-only, and none has an Android app. Our list of erotic fiction platforms covers the sites.

Where the big installed bases are

The apps with the largest download counts on Google Play are not the erotica specialists but choice-story and serial apps, far larger. Their ratings are the same Mature 17+, and their rules differ. The table is installed base only, which is not an endorsement.

FAQ

What are the best erotica apps for Android?

By published installed base, Quinn (1M+) and Dipsea (500K+) are the largest adult audio apps on Google Play, and both also run on iPhone and the web. For free text on Android the options are a browser, for Literotica, or Satinaire, an Android-only app of AI-written stories with ads. Download counts say nothing about quality.

Is there a Literotica app for Android?

Not on Google Play that we could find. Literotica's own Android page offers an APK download from its website, with a 1998-2017 copyright line, and its About page says Google changed its policy to prohibit adult apps. In a phone browser the site needs no install.

Why are so many erotica apps missing from Google Play?

No source says why. Google Play bars sexual content as the point of an app, with an exception for catalogue apps, and Apple has a similar ban, but eight apps are on the App Store alone and we cannot tie that to policy.

Are erotica apps on Google Play rated 17+?

Most of those we cover say Mature 17+. Satinaire and Smuthie sit in Google Play's 13+ tier, as do some choice apps, while Lore is rated Adults Only 18+. Google rates apps from a developer questionnaire, so the label does not tell you how explicit the stories are.

Can I download an erotica app for Android from a website?

Some sites offer APK files. That skips Google Play's review, and we did not test any, so this is general advice only: prefer a store listing or the service's mobile website, and check that the company is named and publishes terms.
