What Is BLANCHEstories?

BLANCHEstories is an audio app of short stories sorted into three categories: Romance, Erotica, and Lust and health. It is run from Sweden by BLANCHE Media AB, which the terms of use name as the operator. The stories are presented as original and exclusive to the service, in Swedish and in English, and the app is positioned around consent and women's pleasure.

The website exists for sign-up, account management and gift cards. The listening happens in the app.

BLANCHEstories review: who it suits

It suits a listener who wants short stories in Swedish or English, would like to start on a free ad-supported version, and is comfortable with a service that prices in kronor. It is less suited to anyone who wants to listen in a browser, since no web player is stated, or who wants stories that branch, since nothing we read mentions that.

What is in the library

Two library figures are on offer, and neither is a count. The English home page says Premium has "600+ original stories with or without music". The App Store text, which is in Swedish, puts the whole library at over 650 stories. New stories arrive every week, according to the home page. Who narrates is not stated on the pages we read, and neither are story lengths.

The categories are broad. The Erotica category is explicit by the service's own description ("Enjoy all our hot romantic and erotic stories"). The third category, Lust and health, is not described on the pages we read. For a view of romance across services, our erotic romance apps page lists who has a real library for it. The site's "Our Writers" page lists contracted authors; an open submission route for writers is not confirmed.

Is BLANCHEstories free?

Partly. The home page says "We also offer a free version of the app, with ads", and the Swedish App Store text describes limited listening with ads. That text puts the free library at about 100 stories, against 600+ in Premium. Treat the free tier as roughly a sixth of the catalogue, with ads.

The home page and FAQ also carry a "FREE TRIAL" button, and the FAQ says: "Click on FREE TRIAL. Choose the subscription that suits you best and then choose your payment method." The instruction runs through a payment method. No page we read states how long the trial lasts or whether a card is needed to start it. How much BLANCHEstories costs

The table converts kronor to dollars at a published ECB rate and marks each conversion with a tilde. What BLANCHEstories charges is the figure in kronor, and prices inside the apps and on Google Play were not recorded.

The home page lists 79 SEK for one month of Premium and 595 SEK for a year, which it describes as 50 SEK a month. Twelve monthly payments would come to 948 SEK, so the year costs about 63 percent of that, a saving of 353 SEK. The gift-card list in the FAQ shows how the discount works: 3 months is 237 SEK and 6 months is 474 SEK, which are exactly three and six times the monthly price, and only the 1-year card at 595 SEK gets a discount.

The site then disagrees with itself by four kronor. The FAQ says "An annual subscription is 599 SEK a year" in one place and lists "1 year at 595 kr" in the gift-card list, and the home page also says 595. We record both and cannot tell you which is current. The home page says "No commitment period - End or change subscription whenever you want", though where to cancel is not stated in the pages we read. Mobile app, offline listening and the web

The App Store text, in Swedish, says you can stream or download the stories for offline listening ("Lyssna strömmat eller ladda ner novellerna för offlinelyssning"). That makes it one of the services on our offline reading page. The iPhone app was last updated on March 13, 2026. Google Play lists 10K+ downloads, which makes it a smaller Android audience than Dipsea or Quinn. The FAQ's instruction for new users is simply "Download the app".

Privacy, billing and age

The terms of use state: "You may use the Services only if you are 18 years or older". The sign-up flow itself we did not see. Three age numbers are in play, and they differ. The terms say 18. The App Store rates the app 16+. Google Play rates it 17+. The store ratings come from questionnaires the developer answers, so the service's own rule is the terms, not the store label.

The terms set an age for the listener. They are not a statement about the characters, and we looked for one: a sentence saying that all characters in the stories are adults. It is not on the terms, the FAQ or the English home page, or in the store text. No story-by-story audit was done. Best BLANCHEstories alternatives

For another subscription with a clear price, Dipsea charges $12.99 a month and $69.99 a year, with no free tier and a 7-day trial on the annual plan. Converted, 79 SEK a month lands close to Quinn's $7.99, though Quinn has no stated free tier. Bloom Stories is the closest on free content, with a rotating free selection and a web player, and femtasy is browser-only at $15.99 a month.
