Dreame Cost: Coins Are a Cent Each, Chapters Are Unpriced

Serial reader

Dreame sells web novel chapters for coins, and every pack on the App Store works out to about one cent a coin, from 300 for $2.99 to 2,500 for $24.99. How many coins a chapter takes is not published on the pages we read, so the Dreame cost of a book in dollars is its coins per chapter times its chapters, divided by 100. This page gives the sums, the cancel route and the refund rule.

Quick answer

  • The coin: about one cent in every counted pack: 300 coins for $2.99, 500 for $4.99, 1,000 for $9.99, 1,500 for $14.99, 2,500 for $24.99. No bulk discount (our arithmetic).
  • A chapter: the coin cost per chapter is not published. Dollars for a stretch of a book = coins per chapter × chapters ÷ 100.
  • Free: the first chapters of a novel, plus daily rewards for reading. How many chapters, and how many coins a reward gives, is not published. It is a sample, not a free-to-read service.
  • Refunds: payments are final and non-refundable except where Dreame says otherwise; a charge made in error must be reported within 30 days.
  • Cancelling: a subscription is cancelled through your Apple ID or the Google Play subscriptions page, not in the app.

What does Dreame cost? A coin is about a cent

Dreame's own About page explains the model: you read the first chapters of an online novel, then buy coins to continue. So Dreame cost is the price of a coin multiplied by the number of coins each chapter asks for, and the first half of that sum is public. The first chapters are free, the rest is paid, and there is no standing fully-free tier.

This is the US App Store list as read on October 27, 2026. The store shows at most ten items, so it may be partial. One item, "Dreame Coins" at $6.99, states no count, so it is left out of every sum below.

Turning coins into dollars

Our arithmetic from the five counted packs: 300 coins for $2.99 is 100.3 coins a dollar, 500 for $4.99 is 100.2, 1,000 for $9.99 is 100.1, 1,500 for $14.99 is 100.07 and 2,500 for $24.99 is 100.04. A coin costs a hair under a cent in all of them. There is no discount for buying more, so the pack size changes how much you have to spend at once, not how much a coin costs. That is unlike most of the choice apps in this section.

Coins you see in the appAbout what it costs
100$1.00
500$5.00
1,000$10.00
2,500$25.00

To price a book you need two numbers from the app, because we cannot supply them: the coins per chapter and the number of chapters left. Multiply them, divide by 100, and that is the cost in dollars at the published coin rate. A 100-chapter book costs as many dollars as one chapter costs coins. We have not installed Dreame and the figure is not published, so we do not give a worked example with a real chapter price.

Items that do not fit the pattern

An earlier read of the same listing, on the same day, recorded a different set of items: 100 coins at $0.99, 600 at $5.99, 2,000 at $14.99 and at $19.99, 3,000 at $29.99, and two subscription items called "week reader" at $2.99 and "a month's time reader" at $4.99. The later read did not reproduce them, and we cannot say which list a buyer sees. One of those earlier items, 2,000 coins at $14.99, would be about 133 coins a dollar, the only exception to the pattern. We treat all of them as unconfirmed. The listing text does describe auto-renewing subscriptions without giving a price.

Web price against store price

Dreame also runs a website with Home, Ranking, Register and Log in pages, and its terms say parts of the service can be used without logging in. The coin prices on the website were not recorded, so we cannot say whether the web price differs from the store price. Stores take a cut of in-app sales, which is the usual reason for a gap, but Dreame has not said that is why, and we have no web figure to compare. Google Play shows only a price range per item.

Free chapters, cancelling and the refund rule

Free. The App Store text invites you to claim free chapters and earn daily reward bonuses just for reading. Neither the number of free chapters nor the size of a reward is published. This is a sample, not a trial and not a free tier: it is a free first stretch of each novel, after which you pay. No timed trial is recorded.

Cancelling. Section 5 of the terms says a subscription can be cancelled at any time before the end of the current billing period, subject to Apple's and Google's policies, and no refund is given for the remaining days. You cannot cancel inside the app: you use the Apple ID subscription settings on iPhone or the Google Play subscriptions page on Android. Our guide to cancelling a story app subscription covers both.

Refunds. The terms say payments are final and non-refundable except where Dreame specifies, and that a charge made in error must be reported to support-dreame@stary.com within 30 days. A coin pack is a payment, so by those terms it is final. Apple's guideline 3.1.1 says credits bought by in-app purchase may not expire, and Dreame's pages state no expiry rule. The terms were published on September 18, 2025.

Is it worth paying? General advice

A cent a coin makes Dreame as easy to price as GoodNovel, and simpler than Webnovel's two cents, once you know the chapter cost. That is the check to do first: open one book, read the coins on the next chapter, multiply by the chapters you expect to read. Spend nothing before that. Whether a subscription beats coins cannot be settled, because no subscription price is confirmed.

The review of the app is our Dreame review. Its closest model is on the page about what GoodNovel costs, also a cent a coin, while Webnovel's two-cent coins are about twice that, and Dreame against GoodNovel sets them side by side. The model is explained in credit-based reading, and the section starts at erotica app pricing.
