Bloom Stories Cost: $131.40 a Year and Two Sites

Audio platform

Bloom Stories and its sister site Audiodesires both list $131.40 a year, but their monthly prices differ by four cents, $29.95 and $29.99, and the plan cards need an account that we do not create. A free account gets a rotating selection of audios. This Bloom Stories cost page shows where each price was read, does the sums and flags what is unconfirmed.

Quick answer

  • Annual: $131.40 on both sites. Bloom's FAQ words it as "only $10.95/mo" and "a fantastic 63% savings" over month to month; our arithmetic agrees: 12 × $29.95 is $359.40.
  • Monthly: $29.95 in the sign-up page source of bloomstories.com, $29.99 in the Audiodesires FAQ. The visible plan cards need an account, so neither is a confirmed card price.
  • Three months: $59.85 in the Bloom sign-up page source, which is $19.95 a month.
  • Free: a free account gets a curated selection of audios that changes weekly on Bloom and monthly on Audiodesires. There is no time limit, and no trial is stated.
  • Not recorded: how to cancel, any refund rule, the student price amount and a card descriptor.

What does Bloom Stories cost, and where was each price read?

Bloom Stories cost is easy to state at the annual level and hard at the monthly one. The company runs two live sites: bloomstories.com, with an imprint that names Quicku GmbH, and audiodesires.com, which calls itself Audiodesires by Bloom Stories and its sibling our sister page. They sell the same kind of human-narrated audio. Their price statements are not identical, and neither shows a plan card without an account. We tie each figure to the page it came from.

The three Bloom rows are from the sign-up page source, not a plan card a buyer sees. The two Audiodesires rows are from its home FAQ, which also lists payment by PayPal, credit cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

The arithmetic, out loud

  • A year of months: 12 × $29.95 is $359.40; 12 × $29.99 is $359.88.
  • The annual plan: $131.40 saves $228.00 against the Bloom monthly price, or about 63 percent, and $10.95 a month matches the FAQ's own figure.
  • The three-month plan: $59.85 is $19.95 a month, a third under the monthly price, but a three-month payment is $59.85 up front.
  • The break-even: $131.40 ÷ $29.95 is about 4.4. If you expect to listen for five months or more, the annual plan is cheaper than paying monthly.

Next to the other audio subscriptions we cover, the monthly price stands out. $29.95 is about 2.3 times Dipsea's $12.99 and 3.7 times Quinn's $7.99. The annual $131.40 is about 1.9 times Dipsea's $69.99. The difference is large enough that it is the first thing to settle before comparing libraries.

The four cents, and why it matters less than the card

$29.95 against $29.99 looks like a typo, and it may be one, but we cannot tell. Only the annual figure matches on both sites. The bigger issue is that the figures are read from a page source and an FAQ, not from the plan cards, which need an account. Read the price on the card before you pay, because the card is what you agree to.

Free, trial, cancelling and refunds

Free tier. Among the audio subscriptions priced here, this is the only one with a documented standing free tier. The Bloom FAQ says a free account gives access to a curated selection of free audios that change each week, with no time limit or trial period. Audiodesires words it as a selection each month. What the selection contains at any moment is not published.

Trial. No trial for the paid plans is stated. The free account is a tier, not a trial. A student price exists on bloomstories.com, but its amount was not seen.

Cancelling and refunds. We recorded no cancellation steps and no refund rule. The sign-up page source describes the plans as automatically rebilling. That is the page source, not the text a buyer sees, so check the wording at checkout. See our guide to cancelling a story app subscription for the general route.

Web price, store price and the apps

Bloom Stories has an iPhone app and an Android app, but the App Store listing shows no in-app purchases, so the iPhone app does not appear to sell a subscription itself. The prices above are web prices, and the web is where the plans are bought. The web player carries the full content. That means there is no store mark-up to worry about here, unlike Sudowrite, and also no store billing to manage. The store listings are older than most: the iOS version dates from January 31, 2025 and the Android one from July 14, 2025, and the iOS text still advertises AI chatbots that the site says were discontinued.

Is it worth paying? By listener

  • To sample: use the free account first. The rotating selection costs nothing and has no deadline.
  • To try a month: $29.95 or $29.99 depending on the site. That is dear against Dipsea or Quinn, so a month is a test, not a plan.
  • To stay: the annual plan at $131.40 undercuts monthly after about five months, and the three-month plan sits between them.

General advice. Bloom's pitch is full-cast, human-narrated audio and a stated policy of no AI writing, voices or images, which our review covers; price is only one criterion. The review is our Bloom Stories review. Head-to-head with the cheaper specialist, see Bloom Stories against Dipsea; the cost of that rival is on Dipsea's cost page.
