Plans are $6.99 a week, $12.99 a month, $99.99 a year and a $29.99 Season Pass for three months, each with a 3-day free trial. The stories are described as written by human writers, with an AI chat layer that lets characters text you back. The App Store rates it 18+, Google Play lists Adults only 18+, and its terms set a minimum age of 17.

The catches are several. Every plan card on the pricing page also says "Coming Soon", the App Store still lists consumables called 2000 Messages and 2 Additional Story Paths, the two stores disagree on whether the first chapter or the first two are free, and Google Play shows only 1K+ downloads. Its Play copy says there is no graphic content. There is no web version and no offline play confirmed.

Tabou Stories is a choice-based romance app from Supercharge. Its store text offers an unlimited tickets subscription at $2.99 weekly or $7.99 monthly, which lets you "play as many chapters as you like" while it lasts. It says what the subscription gives, where Romance Club does not say what its $9.99 Gold pass includes.

It is a subscription layered on a currency, not a replacement for one. The in-app list also sells packages and key packages with no counts, the price of a premium choice is not published, and the App Store rates the app 18+ while Google Play rates it in its 13+ tier and the Supercharge terms set 13. Pirr is an interactive romance app in which you pick the genre, characters and setting and the story adapts line by line. The free tier has 20 daily Standard AI actions, and the App Store lists Premium at $12.99 a month or $99.99 a year with unlimited Standard actions. Top-ups, the AI Credits packs, are $4.99, $8.99 and $27.99, with no credit counts stated. Mature themes are off by default, only users who confirm they are 18 or older can switch them on, and its Code of Conduct says all characters in sexual content must be 18 or older.

The meter is time, not diamonds: the free allowance resets each day. But the stories are AI-adapted, not authored endings, the web page prints $8.99 and $12.99 with no terms, and it is text only. It is the nearest thing to romance with choices that does not sell chapters.

Dorian is a mobile app of branching romance games built by independent creators. Its help centre separates two currencies: hearts, which are bought and support creators, and sapphires, which "can be earned for free" by logging in daily, winning events or in giveaways but do not support creators. Both unlock choices, and the help centre says choice prices are set by the creators. Hearts start at 14 for $1.99. The App Store rates the app 18+, it claims 11,000+ games, and it is free to download and play.

That is a meter with a free side, not an absence of one. There is no single price for a premium choice because each creator sets their own, hearts and sapphires spent cannot be refunded, and there is no play on the website. Its guidelines welcome suggestive and mature themes but say explicit sexual content is not allowed, which separates it from a service that sells itself on being explicit. Choices keeps a keys-and-diamonds meter, and explains it. Keys unlock chapters with a soft cap of two and a timer, diamonds are free for finishing a chapter or watching ads, and VIP is $14.99 a month. The terms set 18, or the legal age if higher, and you can play without an account. The App Store rating is 16+.
