Free Porn Story Apps

What a porn story means here

By porn stories we mean explicit written stories, which is the term readers search for. It overlaps with erotica and with smut, which our glossary entry on what smut means explains. The phrase can also mean video, cams or companion chat. This site covers written and audio stories only, and every service below is described from what it publishes about itself, read on October 27, 2026.

Services draw the line in different places, and the word "pornography" in a policy does not always mean what a reader means by it. Smashwords carries erotica that is words-only and says Pornography has never been allowed at Smashwords. Wattpad bans pornographic content created primarily for sexual arousal while allowing explicit scenes in stories rated Mature. Tapas bars Any and all content intended for sexual gratification. So the useful question is not whether a service allows "porn" but what its rules say explicit text may be. The five kinds of free used below (free library, free tier, trial, ad-supported and free chapters) are defined once in our section on free erotica.

Free libraries that allow explicit text

Three websites cost nothing to read and permit explicit written stories under their own rules. Literotica and Archive of Our Own have no official store app, and we found no store listing for Chyoa by name search.

Literotica's Terms say the site's materials may include graphic visual depictions and descriptions of nudity and sexual activity and may not be accessed by anyone under 18. Its About page claims more than 500,000 stories, which is a company figure and not a count we made. Chyoa's page title is "Interactive Sex Stories - CHYOA", and its six rules say nothing against explicit sex between adult characters. Its catalogue is user-written and we have not audited it.

Our page on Archive of Our Own is a facts page, and we keep to the facts here. Its Content Policy states a goal of maximum inclusiveness of fanwork content, including works deemed immoral, explicit, or otherwise objectionable. Works are fan works about existing characters, creators choose the rating, and a Mature, Explicit or unrated work shows a warning screen. Its home page counter read 18,800,000 works on October 27, 2026. It is ad-free, and its FAQ says it has no official mobile app.

Free tiers and ad-supported versions that allow it

Outfox Stories is a web service whose Content Guidelines say Adult and NSFW fiction is welcome on Outfox Stories - including explicit sexual content - as long as it follows the rules on this page. On free access, its Content Guidelines say All stories are Premium initially, and most (but not all) stories are moved to the free tier a few months after they are initially published. Premium plans run at $8, $20 and $100 a month, and the home page describes the site as having no ads and no account required. In some regions a one-time age verification is required before mature content unlocks. This is a free tier with a delay built in.

Satinaire is an Android-only app of AI-written romance and fantasy serials. Its Terms say any content rated at "spice level 4" or higher and any content within our explicit genre categories - is restricted to users 18 years of age or older. Free reading includes ads between chapters, an account is required, and coins unlock chapters at prices it does not publish. The age check is a self-reported date of birth, asked when you try to open restricted content.

Smashwords is a per-title store, not a library, but it matters here because it says nearly 100,000 of its more than one million ebooks are priced at free. Erotica is hidden by default: a customer must be a registered user and must switch it on, and the site's guidelines call erotica words-only. The page on free NSFW reading apps covers how that switch works.

Trials and free chapters in apps that sell explicit stories

A few paid apps sell explicit stories and publish little about their free part. Crave is an iPhone app whose listing says erotic fantasy stories and New erotica added weekly. It is free to download, its home page shows one open sample story headed with an 18+ notice, and it sells weekly, monthly, half-year and yearly Premium subscriptions. What the free app holds is not stated. Its Terms say some subscription offerings may include a free trial, with no plan or length named.

Yuu is another iPhone app, whose App Store text calls it an erotic adult stories app, and its stories are audio. It says it is free to download and use without saying what is free, and sells a monthly subscription at $5.99. Spicify is for adults 18 and over, but none of the pages we read says whether explicit sexual content is allowed or banned, and its pages disagree on what is free, as our page on free adult story apps sets out.

For audio, the free options are narrower still: OhCleo gives three full stories after a free sign-up and Bloom Stories a rotating free selection. They are covered, with the audio services that offer only trials, on free audio erotica. For explicit text written by a model on a free plan, see free AI erotica stories.

Free services that look like porn story apps and are not

These services are free in one of the five senses, and several are popular for romance. Their own rules do not make them places for explicit text. The quotations are from their terms, guidelines or store copy.

Service	What is free	In its own words
GoodNovel	First chapters, then coins	Terms 5.5(b): user content must not involve sexually explicit description, cover and graphic, etc. (including any pornography)
Dreame	First chapters, then coins	Terms: use and content must not include material that is sexually explicit or pornographic
Webnovel	Some chapters, then coins (not confirmed in detail)	Terms of January 14, 2019 bar content a reasonable person could deem indecent, pornographic; sexually explicit text is not named
Wattpad	Free with ads	Explicit scenes only in Mature stories, between consenting adults; pornographic content created primarily for sexual arousal is banned
Tapas	Episodes free on a timer, Ink to unlock	Any and all content intended for sexual gratification is not allowed. The web allows non-sexual nudity and censored sexual acts
FanFiction.Net	Free library	FanFiction does not accept explicit content, Fiction Rating: MA; FictionPress says the same under its own name
Dorian	Free sapphires	Suggestive and mature themes are welcome where rated; explicit sexual content and illegal content are not.
StoryLoom	Two bobbins a month	Acceptable Use Policy bars content intended primarily to sexually gratify: pornographic content is not permitted
Lore	First chapters, then a pass	Google Play copy: No graphic content

Store ratings do not settle the question either way. Dreame is rated 18+ on the App Store with a Frequent advisory for sexual content or nudity, while its terms bar sexually explicit material. The record notes the clause is worded as a limit on user content, so the two may not conflict. GoodNovel is rated 13+ on the App Store, Webnovel and Wattpad 16+. Tapas also carries a Mature tab on the web and markets Mature Versions Available on its home page, which points a different way from its written rule. The record keeps both.

What each publishes about character age

Two different things get called an age rule: the minimum age of the reader, and a sentence about the characters. For explicit stories the second matters. This table covers the services above that allow explicit text, plus Smashwords, from the pages we read.

A sentence on a page is a published rule, not an audit. We have not read the catalogues, which at Literotica, Chyoa and Archive of Our Own are written by their users, and a missing sentence does not mean a missing policy. The ranked list for this search is best porn story apps. For branching explicit stories, see interactive porn stories, and for the model-written kind, AI porn story generators.
